Regol 450 Titanium Carbide

Put Titanium Technology to Work for You

Field tests of two Cat 793 Haul Trucks lined at a Utah copper mine alongside 4 competitors 500 BHN Wear Plates found that after 24 months of service, or 12,725 hours the REGOL 450 TC trucks had worn approx. 1/8″ at the worst point. This projects a 40,000 hour wear life on these trucks which is a 100% improvement over any other 500 Brinell wear plate previously tested at this mine. The same wear life improvement has been realized in haul trucks, chutes, and conveyor parts at several other mines. These field test results are a real testament to titanium technology. Independent lab tests support what field tests prove, REGOL 450 TC is the most cost effective and long lasting wear plate. A DSRW test done to ASTM G65 Procedure B (2000 revs.) 1/2″ thick sample yields these results:

Improved abrasion resistance is achieved from the carbide matrix and the martensite developed by a special heat treating process. Nickel, Moly., Boron and other alloying elements are also added to enhance abrasion resistant properties.
